Abbaspur: The former candidate of LA- 17 Poonch Abbaspur, Raja Ashraf Kiani has criticized the elected member of the constituency, Chaudhry Muhammad Yaseen Gulshan for not paying heed to the plights of LoC shelling victims.

In a statement issued here on Sunday, he said India is targeting civil population of AJK from across the LoC on daily basis forcing the people living along the LoC to remain confined to their homes. The situation is extremely critical as consistent shelling is seemed to be leading to a full scale war.

He expressed his regret that the elected representative of the area is rarely visits the people to resolve their problems and encourage them to face the onslaught from enemy. He demanded from Prime Minister, Raja Farooq Haider Khan to take serious notice of the situation and release funds for redressal of the problem faced by the people due to Indian shelling.

Raja Ashraf Kiani paid tributes to former MLA and Minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi and Sardar Nasim Sarfraz who never abandoned their people in difficult situation. He said both the former elected members of the constituency worked for the welfare of their people by completing number of development projects including construction of roads, bridges, water supply schemes and schools.

Meanwhile local leaders of Pakistan Peoples’ Party Azad Kashmir have welcomed the decision of MLA Abbaspur, Chaudhry Yaseen Gulshan’s decision to complete the development projects in the constituency in consultation with the opposition parties. Former member District Council Poonch and Chairman District Zakat Committee, Sardar Ikhalaq Ayub Khan, Member Bar Abdul Qayyum Advocate, Former Chairman Zakat Committee, Chaudhry Naseer, Sardar Faisal Naseem, Former Administrator, sardar Muhammad Naseer, Sardar Faisal Qayyum, Sardar Fayyaz Khan and others in a joint statement said that they all attended the meeting called by sitting MLA, Chaudhry Yaseen Gulshan and assured their full cooperation to him.
