Muzaffarabad: AJK Prime Minister, Raja Farooq Haider Khan has said that necessary steps are being taken to strengthen Ehtesab Bureau to ensure an independent and transparent accountability process in the state.

Talking to a delegation of Senior Management Course of National Management College Lahore here on Thursday he said that Public Service Commission and Ehtesab Bureau would be reformed in a way that no one could point finger on their impartiality and efficiency.

The Prime Minister said administrative reforms are being introduced in Azad Kashmir to ensure the direct public participation in the functioning of the state government.

He said that large scale recruitments were made in the past on political basis and in violation of the merit and rules. This practice overburdened the state exchequer and it will not be allowed to continue. He added that only government jobs could not bring prosperity in the state other resources are also being explored to absorb educated youths in Azad Kashmir.

Referring to recent Occupied Kashmir situation he said that brave Kashmiris have set an unprecedented example of courage and commitment to achieve their internationally recognized right to self determination.

Raja Farooq Haider Khan said that it is prime responsibility of the government in the base camp of Kashmir liberation struggle to highlight plight of Kashmiris at all available international forums.

Meanwhile addressing Local Government Rabita Council Budget Session, Prime Minister said that Local government would be made functional by ensuring public representation in the department. He said a three members committee is being constituted headed Secretary Finance and Secretary Local Government and Account General as its members.
