Islamabad: (Parliament Times) The Area Education Officer has forwarded a proposal to Federal Directorate of Education with a recommendation to set-up 60 new schools in newly developed sectors, Housing Society, rural and urban areas of Islamabad.
According to sources, Federal Ministry for Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) has set-up a committee that was assigned the duty for doing survey of Islamabad with the assistance of Education officers. The committee was also tasked to review the problems arising for students who are not being given admissions in Government schools of Islamabad.
The committee identified that 60 new schools should be established in the new developed areas of Islamabad along with in some of rural areas of Islamabad, so that education problems of students in the area could be resolved.
The CADD ministry is seriously considering over the issue, while an important breakthrough is expected in the forthcoming budget.
Director Schools Abdul Waheed said that as a member of committee formed by CADD he visited all the classes of Islamabad schools. Moreover, they were no vacant seat in any of the school, while the new model Schools of Islamabad are bearing most of the burden.
