Islamabad: The Lahore High Court (LHC) Friday ordered Punjab Government to not to withdraw the security of former Provincial Law Minister Rana Sannaullah till further orders.
The LHC also issued notices to Chief Secretary Punjab, Inspector General (IG) Punjab and other parties in the case for next week.
Justice Shams Mehmood Mirza of LHC heard the petition of Rana Sanaullah.
The petitioner in its petition took the plea that he has been receiving threats of dire consequences from people of various schools of thought during and after the election . He had filed applications with relevant authorities for the provision of security but no avail.
He requested the court to order the Police for the provision of security.
