Islamabad: Finance Ministry has taken back the option for deferring deduction of General provident (GP) Fund on monthly basis from salaries of government employees.
According to media reports, now as per rules GP Fund deduction will be made from government employees before disbursement of monthly salary to them. .
1 percent GP fund will be deducted from salary of grade I employees, 5 pc from employees of grade 2 to 11, 8 pc from employees of grade 12 to 22.
According to decision of finance ministry , GP Fund amounting to Rs 9880 per month will be deducted from salary of employees of grade 22, Rs 8940 monthly from employees of grade 21, Rs 8050 monthly from employees of Grade 20, Rs 7180 monthly from employees of grade 19, Rs 5365 monthly from employees of Grade 18, Rs 4270 from employees of grade 17, Rs 3340 monthly from employees of Grade 16, Rs 2890 monthly from employees of grade 15, Rs 2620 monthly from employees of grade 14, Rs 2400 monthly from employees of Grade 13, Rs 2220 monthly from employees of Grade 12, Rs 1290 monthly from employees of Grade 11, Rs 1210 monthly from employees of grade 10, Rs 1140 from employees of Grade 9, Rs 1070 monthly from employees of Grade 8, Rs 1010 monthly from employees of Grade 7, Rs 950 monthly from employees of Grade 6, Rs 890 monthly from employees of Grade 5, Rs 830 monthly from employees of Grade 4, Rs 770 monthly from employees of Grade 3, Rs 710 monthly from employees of Grade 2 while Rs 400 monthly from employees of Grade 1 will be deducted.
