Lahore: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has finalized initial preparations for holding by-elections on 11 National Assembly (NA) and 25 Provincial Assemblies seats.
Polling for by-elections in all four provinces will be conducted on Oct 14 while ballot papers have also been published for polling.
Polling will be held on 12 seats of Punjab Assembly, 9 seats of K-P, and 2 seats on each Sindh and Balochistan Assemblies.
ECP has sought help of Army for maintaining law and order in the country on the polling day.
Army personnel will be deployed inside and outside the polling stations.
On the other hand, polling equipment has been handed over to Returning Officers besides imparting preliminary training and deployment of polling staff.
Mobile phones will be banned to take inside polling booths.
Irrelevant male voters will be barred from going on female polling stations in the Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
CCTV cameras will also be installed at all sensitive polling stations.
