Islamabad: Supreme Court (SC) has issued the notices to CDA and other respondents and sought reply from them on the petition filed by former bureaucrat Roedad Khan against the construction of cricket stadium in Shakar Parian.
SC has barred govt from constructing stadium till court decision.
A 3 members bench presided over by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Saqib Nisar took up the case for hearing Wednesday.
CJP inquired from petitioner during the hearing of the case that “Is the stadium being constructed in Shakar Parian.
The petitioner informed that government wants to construct cricket stadium and five star hotels in Shakar Parian.
The court while ordering government not to construct stadium issued the notices to respondents including CDA and sought reply from them.
The court has adjourned the hearing of the case for three weeks.
