Karachi: Due to strike by boat pilots the in and out services of the ships have been suspended.
FPCCI has appealed to the Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Ministry of Ports and Shipping to end the strike immediately. At Karachi Port sea goods vessels are waiting in long queues. Boat pilots have been demanding payment of allowances first. KPT administration has sought the help of police to pick the boat pilots from their residences.
On the other hand FPCCI Vice President Waheed Ahmad said that the economy of the country can not afford the closure of the most important harbour of the country. He appealed to the KPT administration to take steps on war footing to solve the problem.
