Rawalpindi: The bails of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leaders and candidates are extended till July 28, who created hurdles during the arrest of Ousted Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Shairf’s son in law Capt (Retd) Safdar following his conviction by court in the Avenfield Reference.
Additional Session Judge Mohammad Atta Rabbani took up the petitions for hearing Wednesday.
During the hearing of the case, court ordered to present the record of city police station regarding this case in the upcoming hearing.
The cases have been registered against Chaudhary Tanveer, Malik Babar, Daniyal Chaudhary and Hanif Abbasi including others for creating hurdles in the arrest of Capt (Retd) Safdar.
The cases against the leaders of PML-N are registered on the reports of police and National Accountability Bureau (NAB) while culprit Capt. Safdar is in jail.
It may be recalled that the court in the verdict of Avenfield Reference handed 11 year sentence to Ousted PM Nawaz Sharif, 8 years to his daughter Maryam Nawaz and 1 year to Capt (Retd) Safdar.
After the conviction by court Capt (Retd) Safdar absconded. Later he took part in the PML-N’s rally in Rawalpindi and NAB arrested him from there.
