MIRPUR (AJK):(Parliament Times) Azad Jammu Kashmir government Monday announced the financial compensation of Rs. Two lakh per person for those killed and Rs. 50 thousand for those injured in Sunday tragedy of the bridge collapse incident in Neelam valley of AJK that had left over a dozen of the tourist students killed besides injuring of same number of their colleagues, belonging to Punjab province, it was officially declared.
AJK Government will make the payment of this financial relief from its own resources, the sources told APP here on Monday.
Local victims of the tragic mishap including those lost lives, would also be paid with the financial relief, the sources added.
At least a dozen touring students from the medical and other colleges from Lahore, Faisalabad and Sahiwal lost their lives and over a dozen were injured after an ordinary bridge over an over flooded seasonal nullah at Jaagraan in Kundal Shahi area of Neelam valley swept away due to over loading of the students who had gathered the already-declared deplorable conditioned bridge at Kutten nullah on Sunday.
