Karachi: The meeting of Ruet-e-Hilal Committee to sight the moon for the month of Shawal will be held today on Thursday.
Chairman Ruet-e-Hilal committee Mufti Muhammad Munib ur Rehman has said that the meeting of Ruet-e-Hilal committee will held in the office of Metrological Department after Asar prayer to sight the moon. The meetings will also held in provisional offices of Ruet e Hilal Committee and central committee will be informed if any witness received.
On the contrary, Metrological department has said that the chances of the moon of Shawal are fewer to be sighted.
Director of Metrological department, Abdul Rasheed has said that the birth of the moon will be at 12 am on 14th June and the time to witness the moon is 39 minutes.
Abdul Rashid further said that the chances of weather to be humid and clear respectively on 14th June while the age of the moon will be 19 hours and 23 minutes in Karachi.
The chances of moon are very less to be sighted on 29th Ramzan.
