Islamabad: (Parliament Times) More than 100 students and school teachers participated in an educational awareness walk organised by the ARC-Pakistan in collaboration with the Government of Balochistan and UNICEF in Jafferabad Dera Allah Yar, Baluchistan. The purpose of the walk was too aware the importance of education for children to the public. Various governmental functionaries’ representatives participated in the event which included DC, EDO and DEO’s Jaffarabad.
This walk was organized under ‘Million Kids To School’ program which aims to enroll over 1 million Out of School Children in Pakistan through formal and non-formal schools in all provinces including GB, AJK, FATA& ICT.
The project is being jointly implemented by ARC-Pak and Federal Ministry of Education and Technical Trainings in collaboration with respective provincial education departments with the generous support from Qatar based “Education Above All” Foundation. This project will also strengthen the public education systems and community structures to improve the education outcomes. The project is designed to address the barriers to education and enable the public schools to provide quality services in accordance with the National Action plan.
