    DC Attock inaugurates SSEFP in Hassan Abdal

    Hassan Abdal : Deputy Commissioner Attock Rao Atif Raza has appreciated the private sector’s role in augmenting the Punjab government’s endeavors in the field of education and in raising the literacy rate in the country. He was addressing the inauguration ceremony of the girl’s college in Hassanabdal on Saturday under the suspicious of Sir Syed Educational Foundation Pakistan (SSEFP) where he was a guest of honor. Director General Rahmatul Alameen Authority Zafar Mahmood Malik, Managing Director National Book Foundation Dr. Mazhar Hameed, Sohail bin Aziz Director Rahmatul Alameen Authority, member Punjab Assembly Sardar Muhammad Ali, District President PPP Attock Ashar Hayat, PPP Hassanabdal chapter President Sardar Zulfiqar Hayat Khan, Former Punjab Minister for culture Taimur Masood Malik, member KP assembly Shazia Jadoon, assistant commissioner Hassanabdal Dr. Sana Ramchand, former tehsil Nazim Khanpur Raja Haroon Sikandar, a distinguished researcher and traveler Muhammad Tawfiq, eminent educationist Attaur Rahman Chaudhry, Professor Tahir Durrani, President, Sir Syed Education Foundation, Deputy Director Public Relations Attock Shahzad Khokhar, Director Sir Syed Education Foundation Qazi Zahoorul Haq and President PPP Women Wing Attock Ms. Eman were also present on this occasion. Mr Roo added that the establishment of standard private educational institutions creates a spirit of competition in government educational institutions also which was a must for the development of society. Mr Rao has said that a combined plan was underway to raise educational standards especially information technology (IT) education in the district.

    While acknowledging the foundation’s role in the promotion of quality school education, he urged others working in the education sector to extend their reach to the un­derprivileged areas of the district. Speaking on this occasion, Professor Tahir Durrani, President, of Sir Syed Education Foundation recounted the foundation’s sincere efforts in achieving the goal of ensuring and making available a high standard education to the maximum possible students in rural areas of Attock, Taxila, Hassanabdal, Haripur and adjourning areas.

    Later, Mr Rao visited every classroom in the college and appreciated the facilities of projectors, Active Smart Board, Biometric attendance system, online student and parents’ portal as well as the provision of results, fees, and other online information to the students.
