Peshawar: As many as three children have died due to administration of expired anti polio injections while four others are in critical condition.
Doctors have confirmed the deaths caused by expired polio injections while Health department has started investigation.
As per media reports as many as three children died and four are in critical condition in the area of Muslim town in Peshawar due to administration of expired injection here on Monday.
Polio vaccination campaign has been launched by Emergency Operation Center and due to vaccination of expired injection, the health condition of the children deteriorated . These children were rushed to hospital but three children died at the spot while four are still in critical condition.
Secretary health department has taken the notice of the incident and started investigation. The residents of the area and the family members of the dead are protesting. They have demanded strict actions against the responsible persons.
