Muzaffarabad: Election Commissioner Press Foundation of Azad Kashmir is all set to hear the preliminary objections of petitioners on Tuesday 20 February at its office adjacent to Assembly Secretariat Muzaffarabad and notices have been officially served to contestants asking them to ensure their presence on the day.
Pertinently, the election commission had received objections regarding the nomination of different candidates who have formally submitted their papers for contesting the AJK press foundation elections likely to be held in next month. According to a press release issued by assistant election commissioner petitioners from Bhimber, Bagh, Kotli, Neelum and Plundari districts have filed their objections before the commission. The statement said that letters have been send to all the contestants in this regard. Phone calls have also been made to the respondents. Contestants have also been directed to bring proofs with regard to the objections raised by the petitioners. “On the other hand, scrutiny process of nomination papers is going on unabated”, the statement said.
