Islamabad : Prime Minister (PM) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has summoned the meeting of federal cabinet on 26 December.
The endorsement of the Preventive Detention Order would be the top most agenda of the meeting.
Preventive Detention Order (PDO) which is being sent to federal cabinet for extension as before its expiry, according to the said order, any suspicious person can be taken into custody for 90 days. The cabinet in its meeting will review ratification of PDO and it will remain intact if cabinet approves.
Amendment in FIA act 1974 has also been included in the agenda of meeting.
The core issue of agenda of meeting would be Faizabad sit in of Islamabad and media black out during the operation.
The Hajj policy of 2018 sent by Ministry of Religious Affairs has been included as per agenda. It is prescribed that fares and other expenditures of Hajj will not be increased.
The cabinet would also approve the resignation of Ali Salman Hafeez, member Board of Directors of PIA and after which his resignation would be accepted. It is also included in the agenda to give the status of FATA reforms committee as committee of the cabinet and it would be named as National Implementation Committee.
In the meeting, Medical Device Rules 2017 would also be presented for approval. The amendments in guide lines rules of development schemes of parliamentarians would be reviewed.
