Islamabad: (Parliament Times) The Executive Board of the National Highway Authority met in the chair of
Chairman NHA Mr. Shahid Ashraf Tarar.
During the meeting NHA’s financial and administrative affairs were discussed at length.
The meeting accorded approval to award of work for Package-2D of Hakla-D.I.Khan section of Western Route of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The length of this package located between Rehmani Khel and Kot Belian in District Mianwali is 13.4km. Width of this 4-lane motorway will be 7.3m, while Right of Way will be 100m wide. The project will cost more than rupees 4 billion and 44 crore. The meeting also approved award of work for rehabilitation of flood affected road portions and construction of bridges between Fazilpur-D.I. Khan on Indus highway. Under this project, 9.67km road will be rehabilitated and three bridges will be built between Fazilpur and Taunsa, while 3 km long road and three new bridges will also be constructed between Taunsa and Ramak.
Likewise 13 km long road will be rehabilitated between Ramak and D.I.Khan. The project will cost more than rupees one billion and 36 crore in total. Mr. Shaukat Hayat Inspector General-National Highways and Motorway Police, Mr. Munir Ahmed Anjum – Chief (T&C) Planning Commission, Dr. Tahir Mehmood Hayat – Vice President NESPAK, Mr. Altaf Asghar – Joint Secretary Ministry of Communications, Muhammad Sayyar – Assistant Chief NTRC, Mr. Shoaib Ahmed Khan Member (Finance) National Highway Authority, Muhammad Asim Amin General Manager (Design) National Highway Authority & Mr. Saeed Ahmed Malik Secretary NHA participated in the meeting.
