Muzaffarabad: The President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan has said the government has evolved a comprehensive strategy to upgrade the institutional infrastructure in the state.
He was addressing after a briefing given to him by AJK Information Technology Board in Muzaffarabad today.
Sardar Masood Khan said use of modern technology is dire need of the time to ehance performance and accuracy in the institutions.He said public issues related to land records would significantly reduce after its computerization.
Earlier, AJK President was briefed about the projects and programs being implemented by Information Technology Board in Azad Kashmir.
Secretary information and information technology Mansoor Qadir Dar informed the president about the projects being implemented by Information Technology board and budgetary requirement. He told that information technology board has computerized all the land record of three Tehseels Hattiyan Bala, Dirkot and Dadial where it has setup its centers. Any person can get information about his land record or copy of the record by depositing Rs 50. Similarly the department is preparing to issue computerized driving license and the cases of courts. He said that Chief secretary office has also been automated along with some other departments. The president expressed his satisfaction over the performance of the department.
