LAHORE: Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar and Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi met on Friday. Palestine, Kashmir, Governor Mohammad Sarwar’s visit to the US and various other issues came under discussion. Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar and Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi strongly condemned the Islamophobic and terrorist attack on Muslim family in Canada.
According to the details, during a meeting between Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar and Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Friday, Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar apprised Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi about his meetings with Congressmen, Congresswomen, Senators during his visit to the USA.
During the meeting, Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar and Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Quraishi welcomed the empathetic response of the Canadian Prime Minister to the terrorist attack on a Muslim family and urged the world to take practical steps to curb Islamophobia, adding that the terrorist involved in the brutal murder of Muslim family will be dealt with strictly to prevent such incidents from happening again.
Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Pakistan is successfully moving forward on the diplomatic front. Commending the role of Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi in highlighting and mobilizing the world to take action against Israeli crimes in Palestine, Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that Pakistan sent an unequivocal message to the world about its stance on Palestine and Kashmir, adding that today India, not Pakistan is alone on the diplomatic front and Modi-governed atrocities in IIOJK have been exposed to the world. Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that Prime Minister Imran Khan is the true representative of the Muslims on issues like Islamophobia, adding that the Muslim world must unite to curb Islamophobia. He further said that Palestine and Kashmir issues must be resolved as per the UN resolutions.
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the Pakistan’s Embassy in Canada is in touch with the affected family, adding that there is an urgent need to address Islamophobia at the international level. He further said that he had detailed discussions with the Canadian Foreign Minister regarding the Islamophobic attack on Muslim family and he assured me that justice will be served.
