According to a survey, only 9% of Pakistanis are keen readers and 75% aren’t reading any book except their syllabus. That too is only to pass their exams. Reading culture is getting lost gradually like the new generation is busy with gadgets. There was a time, when a crying toddler would be handed over pencil colours along with colourful books. Sadly, today we gave them the phones to divert their mind. Further, there’s a lack of libraries in Pakistan. Those who keen to read, usually gave up in view of lack of libraries. It is highly important to build libraries and support the reading culture.
