Islamabad: Rs 300 million has been issued for the feasibility study of 37 kilometers long Ring Road in Rawalpindi in order to connect GT Road with Peshawar motorway via Tarnol from Rawat.
Overall cost, route, per kilometer construction cost of the project, construction of right of ways, construction of hotels upon right of ways , workshops, and other trading and service areas construction will be determined.
Feasibility Study will be completed within the time of 3 months.
Project will be presented as a gift to people of Rawalpindi upon the time of next local bodies elections in 2020.
After initial consideration upon the project in the government officials meeting, decision has been taken to prepare an estimated cost.
Federal and Punjab government will bear the expenditures jointly.
The process of purchase of land for the project will be started after allocating the amount in the next financial year budget.
Work on emergency basis will be done in order to complete the project timely.
