MURREE: Punjab government has approved grant amounting to Rs 500 million for construction of Lower Topa-Kohala road.
The grant has been approved on the request of Chief Secretary AJK and Station Commander Murree.
According to media reports earlier grant amounting to Rs 30 million was granted to assembly members from Murree which was not enough to complete this road. The localities located around this road are manning millions and this high way is used as supply line as well. People running into thousands from Azad Kashmir travel on this road daily to reach Islamabad, Rawalpindi and other cities of Punjab.
This road was worn out since long and dilapidation has reached alarming proportion making the travelling uphill task.
