Islamabad: (Parliament Times) On directive of State Minister for Communications Mr. Murad Saeed the National Highway Authority is advancing its anti encroachments campaign to clear its Right of Way from the encroachers. Todate, out of 3131 encroachment locations, 2157 positions have been regained and resultantly 178 kanals land has been cleared amounting to Rs. 1.288 billion in various parts of the country.
According to details, 334 locations in Dera Ismail Khan, 20 in Hyderabad, 59 in Multan, 99 in Bahawalpur, 495 in Rahim Yar Khan, 100 in Bat Khela, 42 in Wazirabad, 197 in Lahore and 811 locations in Rawalpindi and Islamabad-Murree Dual Carriageway have been recaptured.
Chairman NHA Mr. Jawwad Rafique Malik is personally supervising this anti-encroachment campaign to make it a success.
