Wana : On the instructions of the District Police Officer Lower South Waziristan Farman Ullah, the police arrested on Sunday the government teacher who tortured the journalist.
Police shifted him to Wana City Police Station where an FIR has been registered against him and investigation has been started.

Wana Union of Journalists (WUJ ) chairman Adam Khan Wazir has said in his issued statement that journalist (station manager of FM Suno Radio Wana) Waseem Wazir was tortured in Wana bazar yesterday by Meraj Wazir, a teacher of Science Management College Wana and his sons.

On which the police took timely action on Sunday and arrested the teacher involved in the violence.

On this issue yesterday, Wana Union of Journalists Chairman Adam Khan Wazir and other cabinet members demanded immediate action against the people involved in the torture of journalist, from the provincial government, district administration and police.

Chairman Adam Khan Wazir appreciated the timely action of the police and thanked the DPO and said that the law is equal for all, no one is above the law.
Chairman Adam Khan Wazir expressed regret that there is no freedom of expression in Waziristan and due to which journalists are facing a lot of difficulties in reporting.

It should be noted that two days ago journalist Waseem Wazir had run a detailed report on the awareness campaign regarding cheating in matriculation examinations under the continuation of Dera Board.
