Since last few decades, an extensive surge in domestic violence clearly manifests, a matter of deep concern and an indicative of gender-inequality. The latter engenders compulsions on large shreds, including mental agony, hypertension, extreme anxiety and so on. These confusions ostensibly exist predominantly among female, and off and on cause undesirable atrobatics, committing suicide is one of them. According to some careful considerations, 30% women have confronted domestic violence in the country(Pakistan). An end to domestic violence is surely requisite, by means of undertaking substantial measures. Amongst the greatest obstacles, child marriage among girls, emerges the most significant constraint, contributing in psychological and mental disorders. Encroaching girls’ fundamental rights is quite harmful, indicating the expulsion of their mental prosperity. Hence, their future dreams in the long run craze to the ground. According to some discreet analyses, 21% per cent of the girls are married off before reaching the age of 18. This norm has severely implicated rural girls, and minorities(Hindu and Christian girls), including their abductions, formidable as these pervade fear and sense of inferiority among girls. Despite the enforcement of Child Marriage Restraint Acts, this persisting barrier in girls’ prosperous survival remains still a burning question. What comes up most important is to take tangible measures to discourage this damaging norm, and ensure complete enforcement of acts. Undeniably, the existing extensive rate in domestic violence is further raised by perpetrating harassment against women at workplaces. Apart from it, thier deprivation from legal wages is misery, usurping their potential. The more disappointing is to observe sexual violence, faced by women forcibly at workplaces. Actually, Acts against the harassment of women have been passed, but these have yet not championed women’s basic rights. An end to this despicable norm requires concrete steps, which must be demonstrated both by government and concerned authorities. Likewise, really saddening and more disappointing is to see the enduring miserable working conditions. Both minor girls and boys, less than age of 14, being deprived from their fundamental rights, face exploitative behaviours time and again. In these rainy days, teem with soaring inflation and rampant unemployment, child labour instead of being a source of earning bread and butter, now steers minor children to exploitative and harsh situations. Taming domestic violence(faced by women) and obliterating the harassment against women, are the first steps to dispirit gender disparities. Pakistan, currently ranks 142nd out of 146 entities in the Global Gender Gap Index. In addition, 23 million children lack access to education on the account of economic compulsions___83% girls in Balochistan and 50% girls in Sindh are kept bereft of their fundamental right, education. 30% percent women constitute formal workface as compared to men, covering 83% percent formal workface. Lack of equitable financial opportunities and low participation in assemblies further aggregate women’s existing crises. All these illustrate huge gap amidst two genders(man and woman) and a different capability to resources. Assuredly, history perennially reveals pivotal role of women in changing societies. A woman holds immense significance by covering multiple tasks both at home and in community as well as assists in bringing up useful future citizens of state. No nation can thrive socially and march on the road to progress without the development of women. In brief, what exhibits more constructive is to utilise sufficient chunks of resources in the form of building educational institutions and vocational centres. This will surely enhance women to find an easy access to economic opportunities. Passing acts which reprehend women’s harassment hold no importance without their absolute enforcement. Similarly, archaic beliefs and keeping women in the four walls, must be dispirited through collaborative efforts. The stakeholders, including governmental and non-governmental organizations, academia, authorities and research, etc., should sit together to cut out best solutions for advocating women’s rights and strive to bring the exact reports, regarding women’s crises, to the spotlight. The society, where everyone has equal access to economic and social opportunities, will definitely emerge progressive and peaceful. “The more we invest in women, the more we gain”. Let us endeavour to dismantle the ingrained chains of Gender-Disparities and solicit to wreak the roots of domestic violence. Undoubtedly, ” the more we struggle to secure on an others rights, the better we make society.”
