Muzaffarabad: A protest was organized under the aegis of Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir on completion of 1700 days of the Indian military siege in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir since August 5, 2019.

According to the details, large number of citizens gathered in front of Central Press Club while holding banners and chanted slogans against Narendra Modi’s cruel actions.

Speakers said that the United Nations Security Council should annul the cruel actions of the Indian government on August 5, 2019 including the biased and politically motivated decisions of the Indian Supreme Court on December 11, 2023 regarding occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Speakers were of the view that India has no right of any legal and military adventure within the internationally recognized disputed state.

They said that India exists as an usurper country in Jammu and Kashmir and its unilateral actions cannot change the internationally recognised disputed status.

Speakers said that the Government of India has unilaterally broken the bilateral conditional agreements made with the Kashmiri people in the past.

They stated said that despite all the coercive tyranny from August 5, 2019 till date, the government of Bharatiya Janata Party led by Narendra Modi has completely failed to break the morale, eternal spirit of freedom and undying love of Kashmiri people for freedom.

They said that the Kashmiri people have never accepted the partition of Ladakh and Jammu Kashmir, they are rejecting the partition of the state with constant resistance.

“India is a cruel imperialist who is trying to take away the land, identity, Kashmiri traditions, civilization, flag and Islamic identity from the Kashmiri people”, they lamented.

“Narendra Modi is violating the political, civil, social and religious rights of the citizens of the occupied state with the worst measures of black laws”, they added.

The so-called claimant of democracy is taking steps to impose the worst agenda of Hindutva by imposing complete restrictions on freedom of expression.

Speakers said that all the evil tactics of India will be exposed in front of the Kashmiri people.

The speakers paid tribute to the thousands of martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of Kashmir and paid tribute to the courage and bravery of the Kashmiri prisoners for freedom struggle and said that resistance for freedom from India will continue till the last breath of every Kashmiri.

They demanded that the United Nations to make its role effective for the just solution of the Kashmir issue and also to undo the illegal actions of 5th August 2019 of Indian government.

The rally was led by Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Uzair Ahmed Ghazali, Raja Muhammad Aftab Khan, Shaukat Javed Mir, Usman Ali Hashim, Khalid Mehmood Zaidi, Nadeem Alam Awan, Syed Asif Gillani, Muhammad Sadiq Khan, Chaudhary Muhammad Ismail, Hamza Shaheen, Muhammad Altaf Minhas, Muhammad Yousuf Budhana, Faisal Farooq Sheikh, Muhammad Fayyaz Khan, Muhammad Riaz Awan, Muhammad Tanveer Durrani and others.
