Muzaffarabad, (Parliament Times) : 1948, in the light of the detailed resolutions passed by the United Nations Commission on India and Pakistan, it was decided that the political future of Jammu and Kashmir would be decided by the people of the state, but unfortunately, obstacles were always placed in this way. The time has come to put all political rivalries and affiliations aside and take the case of Kashmir to its logical conclusion, these views were expressed by the former candidate of Assembly Valley 04 Syed Ismail Shah yesterday while discussing the current political situation. He said that India does not want the people of Kashmir to decide on accession through a free referendum. For India, this means withdrawing from Jammu and Kashmir, because the majority of Kashmiris do not want to join India. India adopted two methods to rebuff the Security Council resolutions and consolidate its hold on occupied Jammu and Kashmir. First, the international community, including the Security Council, should be restrained from playing any role in the Kashmir issue, and secondly, the worst violence should be inflicted on the Hurriyat activists to gain a foothold in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. As far as violence is concerned, the way India followed this policy during the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government after Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister in 2014 is unprecedented in the last decades. Not only the freedom fighters are imprisoned, but thousands of young people who speak for the right to self-determination are held in prisons and detention centers or have been deported. Today, there is a sense of fear in occupied Jammu and Kashmir that no one can even talk about the freedom movement of Kashmir. Syed Ismail Shah said that the Indian government is now suppressing the voices in various ways, whereas earlier there were protests and There used be clashes between the protestors and the Indian army, but now everything has changed, and people are suffocating due to Indian oppression. If someone writes, he will be arrested. Kashmir Cell in the Foreign Office and Kashmir Desks in Pakistani embassies around the world should be activated to inform the international community about the serious violations of human rights in Occupied Kashmir. Ismail Shah Said that a diplomatic council consisting of Kashmiri freedom fighters should be formed and through it, the international community should be made aware of the sensitivity of the Kashmir issue, the Security Council should be made to believe that it is its responsibility to settle the Kashmir issue. It is important to resolve the Kashmir issue peacefully to reduce the risk of possible war in the region.
