MIRPUR ( AJK),  (Parliament Times) : In response to the quick orders of Mirpur Division Commissioner Shoukat Chaudhry, the district administrations of all three districts of Mirpur, Kotli and Bhimbher districts on Monday raided shops and stores of Kites and strings including metal strings and recovered and confiscated huge quantity of the banned kites, strings and the related items from the shops, it was officially stated.

Mirpur Division Administration spokesman and Devisional head PID AJK Mirpur Div. told our Special Jammu and Kashmir state Correspondent Altaf Hamid Rao here Monday evening that the kite flying and selling has immediately been prohibited in all three districts of the Mirpur Division under section 144 Criminal Procedure Code – Cr. P.C. The violators would be penalised under section 188 AJK Penal Code, he said quoting the warning given of the district administrations in the division to those engaged in the business of the kite sale and flying.

Javed Mallick told that on the,special directives of Mirpur Deputy Commissioner Yasir Riaz Chaudhry, Extra Assistant Commissioner Syed Kaleem Abbass Shah conducted surprise raids on various shops and stores of kites and recovered and confiscated the huge quantity of the contrabands and warned the kites sellers and flyers to immediately abandoned the business besides kite flying across the district with immediate effect.

Those to be found defying the prohibitory orders will be booked under the law indiscriminately, the duty magistrate warned.

The magistrate also raided the open sites and residential sites to nab the kite flyers who reportedly made their escape good from the scene soo. After smelling the surprise raids by the magisterial teams. the spokesman said.
