Lahore, (PR) : Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Ahmad Khan visited Punjab Municipal Development Fund Company. Immad Iftikhar Malik, along with Syed Zahid Aziz, MD, PMDFC and others welcomed him and briefed about various initiatives including Floating Wetlands, Local Government Strengthening and Punjab Cities Program. The company has also successfully completed a UNICEF-funded project to clean wastewater ponds through floating wetlands.

While appreciating this project, Speaker Punjab Assembly directed to start work on the project under the same model in Kasur district. On this occasion, he said that providing the best facilities to the citizens is the priority of the Punjab government.

Syed Zahid. Aziz MD, PMDFC while giving a briefing on the Punjab Cities Program said that eighteen billion rupees are being spent on water supply and sanitation projects in sixteen cities under this program funded by the World Bank. Speaker Punjab Assembly said that the scope of Punjab Cities Program needs to be expanded to other cities. At the end of the ceremony, Immad Iftikhar Malik, Member Board of Directors, Punjab Municipal Development Fund Company presented company commemorative postage stamps and other souvenirs to Malik Ahmed Khan, Speaker Punjab Assembly. Mehmood Masood Tamna, GM ID, Moazzam Jameel Malik, GM Engineering, Zohaib Butt, SPO Procurement also attended the meeting.
