Paris : Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Forum Ch. Naeem Akhtar vehemently condemned Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Srinagar, asserting that Modi’s presence there exacerbates the pain of the Kashmiris. The Modi government will be held accountable for the countless lives lost in Kashmir. He expressed these sentiments in a statement, emphasizing that before Narendra Modi’s visit, a military garrison had been established in the occupied valley, and the Modi government is committing severe atrocities in occupied Kashmir. He highlighted that Narendra Modi’s visit to Srinagar, where innocent civilians face bullets while asleep and their eyes are brutally harmed, reflects insensitivity to the plight of Kashmiris. The Modi government must answer for the bloodshed of millions of Kashmiris. How will the innocent Kashmiris, enduring gunfire, welcome Modi, the one who robs them of their vision? He underscored the ongoing arbitrary curfews, blockades, searches, and detentions of freedom leaders in occupied Kashmir. The international community should take note of the serious human rights violations perpetrated by the Indian army in the occupied valley.
