Islamabad, (Parliament Times) : After continuous hectic efforts, the engineers, construction experts and workers of National Highway Authority have come out successful in opening nine major national highways and motorway affected by heavy rain fall, snow fall and land sliding in Balochistan province. On the directive of Federal Minister for Communications Mr Shahid Ashraf Tarar, and Chairman National Highway Authority Mr. Arshad Majeed Mohmand, the NHA personnel ensured emergent steps and required heavy machinery was arranged at affected locations. The officials of NHA worked round the clock in coordination with local administration and opened Zhob – Kuchlak – Danasar, Quetta – Chaman, Qila Saifullah- Loralai, Lakpass- Noshki – Nokundi, Quetta – Sibbi – Jacobabad, Karachi – Khuzdar – Quetta, Gawadar- Khuzdar – Wangu Hill, Coastal highway (Karachi to Gawadar and Gawadar to Gabd), and Hoshab – Naag – Surab national highways to all kinds of traffic. It is to recall that NHA officers and staff are on alert to handle any unpleasant such conditions in the country.
