MIRPUR ( AJK), (Parliament Times) : India has extended the ban on Jammu and Kashmir Jamaat-e-Islami in the Indian Illegally occupied Jammu Kashmir state for 5 years, says a report reaching here on Wednesday from across the line of control ( (LoC).
The report continued, quoting a post on X of the Indian home minister Amit Shah as saying ” pursuing PM Modi’s policy of zero tolerance against terrorism and separatism the government has extended the ban on Jamaat-e-Islami, Jammu Kashmir for five years”.
He alleged that the organisation was found continuing its activities against, what he called, the security, integrity and sovereignty of India, according to the report.
“The outfit was first declared an ‘Unlawful Association’ on 28 February 2019. Anyone threatening the security of the nation will face ruthless measures,” he declared, the report said.
