ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has expressed grave concern over situation in Palestine and urged UN Security Council (UNSC) to discharge its obligations for peace in Gaza.
” The atrocities being committed by Israel in Gaza are intolerable. We demand of international community to get stop massacre in Palestine, this was said by Foreign Office (FO) spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch during her weekly press briefing here Thursday.
She went on to say Israeli occupation forces are committing crimes in Palestine. Pakistan is gravely concerned over situation in Palestine.
She said a resolution against the brutalities of Israeli forces on people of Palestine was adopted in Senate a day before. UNSC should discharge its obligations for peace in Gaza.
Pakistan first priority is ceasefire in Gaza and establishment of peace, she said adding Pakistan has sent aid to help brothers and sisters of Gaza on humanitarian basis. Its second consignment will be sent this week.
According to FO spokesperson caretaker Prime Minister (PM) Anwaar ul Haq Kakar will participate in ECO summit taking place in Tashkent from November 8 to 9.
She further said deadline of October 31 was given to foreigners residing in Pakistan illegally to leave Pakistan voluntarily. Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jillani exchanged views with Afghan interim foreign minister in this regard. The foreigners are being deported who are violating immigration laws. On the matter of Afghan refugees who have to be shifted to third countries , talks are underway with the concerned countries. These countries are a dozen in number. Lists have been sent by these countries to Pakistan.
Repatriation plan is only for such immigrants who are settled in Pakistan illegally without documents. This does not apply to refugees. This plan is for the illegal immigrants of all countries. The plan has been worked out in cooperation with different institutions and departments and law enforcement agencies .
Indian atrocities are underway in Occupied Kashmir, she said adding several Kashmiris were injured or martyred by Indian occupation forces in Occupied Kashmir in previous days. Pakistan will issue diplomatic passport to its Kashmiri brothers.
