Islamabad (Parliament Times) : The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Pakistan hosted a grand reception on October 26, 2023, to celebrate the Republic Day of Kazakhstan. Ambassador Yerzhan Kistafin, in his address, pledged to further enhance the enduring friendship between Pakistan and Kazakhstan.
During his speech, Ambassador Kistafin highlighted the historical significance of Kazakhstan’s independence, which was achieved three decades ago. He emphasized Kazakhstan’s commitment to strengthening its bilateral relations with Pakistan, recognizing the significant progress that Kazakhstan, as a key Central Asian nation, has made over the years. He attributed these achievements to the relentless efforts of the Kazakh people in safeguarding their independence and forging a unique national identity.
Ambassador Kistafin reiterated the high value that the people and government of Kazakhstan place on their relations with Pakistan. Notably, the reception commemorated the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, signifying a momentous occasion in their shared history.
Caretaker Federal Minister of Railways, Shahid Ashraf Tarar, also delivered a congratulatory address during the event, extending warm wishes to Ambassador Yerzhan Kistafin, the Kazakh government, and the citizens of Kazakhstan on their Republic Day. Minister Tarar emphasized the strong and friendly ties between Pakistan and Kazakhstan and underscored the importance of close collaboration to promote peace and stability in the region.
One of the highlights of the reception was a captivating Fashion Show and an Exhibition of Crafts, providing a platform for talented artists to showcase their work. Ambassador Kistafin commended these artists, highlighting the integral role of such activities in their social responsibility.
To add a musical touch to the evening, a renowned Kazakh singer performed the national anthem of Kazakhstan and enthralled the audience with a repertoire of beautiful songs.
