In today’s interconnected world, the internet and social media platforms have provided a powerful medium for the dissemination of information, ideas, and opinions. While this has undoubtedly expanded the scope of free speech and democracy, it has also given rise to a concerning phenomenon: anti-state propaganda. Anti-state propaganda can be broadly defined as the dissemination of information, often false or misleading, with the intent to undermine the legitimacy and stability of a government or state authority. It may take various forms, including written articles, videos, social media posts, or public speeches. Anti-state propaganda often seeks to foment dissent, incite violence, or promote an alternative political agenda, posing a significant challenge to governments around the world. Anti-state propaganda can fuel civil unrest and even incite violence. By spreading false information or stoking existing grievances, it has the potential to destabilize regions and escalate conflicts. In some cases, this propaganda can lead to acts of terrorism or rebellion, posing a direct threat to national security. When citizens are exposed to persistent anti-state propaganda, it can erode trust in government institutions and sow discord among different segments of society. This erosion of trust can hinder the government’s ability to effectively govern and implement policies for the benefit of its citizens. Anti-state propaganda often relies on disinformation and manipulation to shape public opinion. False narratives and misinformation can mislead citizens, making it difficult for them to make informed decisions and participate in the democratic process effectively. From last few months, Pakistani nation has witnessed widespread Anti-State propaganda from PTI leadership and it’s so called media influencers. Recently, the news of the death of the eight-year-old son of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf activist and ticket holder Ibad Farooq, Ammar Farooq, saddened everyone across the country as no one should be happy on deaths. But PTI propaganda machines started using this death for their political gains while saying that Ammar was died due to separation from his father which is totally wrong. PTI claimed on social media that Ammar fell ill due to mental shock and grief due to the arrest of his father, mother and grandfather by the Punjab Police. While reportedly some family members said that Ammar was suffering from a rare brain disease called Sebacote Secculorizing Panencephalitis (SSPE). It should be noted that Subacute Sclerosing Panencephalitis (SSPE) is a rare but severe neurological disorder that primarily affects children and young adults. This devastating condition is a delayed complication of a previous measles infection, making it essential to highlight the importance of measles vaccination and the potential consequences of measles in the absence of vaccination. SSPE is caused by a slow and persistent infection of the brain with the measles virus (also known as rubeola). Measles is a highly contagious viral illness that can be prevented through vaccination. When a person is infected with measles, the virus initially targets the respiratory system. However, in rare cases, the virus can enter the central nervous system, leading to SSPE. The exact reasons why some individuals develop SSPE after measles infection while others do not remain unclear, but it is believed to be related to a combination of genetic, viral, and immune factors. The initial symptoms of SSPE may be subtle and can often go unnoticed. Over time, these symptoms progress and become more severe. Common symptoms of SSPE include: Behavioral changes, including irritability and mood swings, Decline in school performance and cognitive abilities, Muscle stiffness and spasms, Seizures, Blindness, Inability to walk or control body movements, Coma, Death (typically within one to three years after symptom onset). Diagnosing SSPE can be challenging, as its symptoms can resemble those of other neurological conditions. Medical professionals typically use a combination of clinical observations, neurological examinations, and diagnostic tests to reach a diagnosis. Key diagnostic tools include: Electroencephalogram (EEG) to assess brain activity, Brain imaging (MRI or CT scans) to visualize brain abnormalities, Measuring elevated levels of measles antibodies in cerebrospinal fluid, History of a previous measles infection or vaccination etc. Unfortunately, there is no cure for SSPE. Treatment primarily focuses on managing symptoms and providing supportive care. Medications such as anticonvulsants may help control seizures, while physical and occupational therapy can address muscle stiffness and other mobility issues. Patients with SSPE often require specialized care and attention to address their unique needs, and hospice care may be necessary as the disease progresses. The most effective way to prevent SSPE is to prevent measles itself. This can be achieved through vaccination with the measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine. The MMR vaccine is safe and highly effective, providing long-lasting immunity against measles and its complications. Widespread vaccination not only protects individuals from measles but also contributes to community immunity, reducing the risk of outbreaks. In recent years, there has been a concerning resurgence of measles in some regions due to vaccine hesitancy and misinformation. It is crucial to promote accurate information about the safety and importance of vaccines and to encourage vaccination for all eligible individuals. By achieving high vaccination rates, we can significantly reduce the incidence of measles and, consequently, the risk of SSPE. Subacute Sclerosing Panencephalitis (SSPE) is a tragic and largely preventable consequence of measles infection. It serves as a stark reminder of the importance of vaccination in protecting public health and preventing devastating diseases. While there is no cure for SSPE, widespread measles vaccination remains the most effective means of preventing both measles and its severe complications, including SSPE. Public health efforts should continue to promote vaccination to reduce the incidence of measles and spare individuals and families from the devastating effects of SSPE. According to false claims of PTI propaganda machines that his death was due to the pain and trauma of his father’s separation, but the questions is can a person really die from the feeling of pain or separation? According to medical experts the answer is no and they say that according to the science of psychology, if someone is facing a state of sorrow or grief for a long time, then the physical health of that person may be affected, but it cannot cause death and psychological effects or mental stress can cause diseases like high blood pressure, diabetes and can lead to any physical disorder, but they cannot directly cause someone’s death. So this claim and propaganda from PTI is totally wrong. On the other hand, whole nation seen that a panels of doctors was deputed around Imran Khan to treat his fracture but unfortunately the doors of Shaukat Khanum Hospital could not be opened for Mian Ibad Farooq’s son. PTI had no money and resources to take care of a worker’s son. Shaukat Khanum’s doctors were not supposed to treat him. It’s a bitter reality that for PTI and political parties, their party workers are just like a tissue paper, they are used only when needed. PTI is never interested in life or death of its worker. They are always dying for their political gains. The son of Mian Ibad Farooq, who was involved in the May 9 incident, died due to congenital disease. No one is and should be happy on death. Mian Ibad Farooq was brought from jail and met with his son on the basis of humanitarian sympathy. It is surprising that Mian Ibad Farooq continued to vandalize for his leader and attacked the state for the leader’s pleasure but in return his family was not given any assistance by the party for the treatment of his son. He was picked up from a hospital in Raiwind and taken home but could not be treated. Was this the change that the youth of the nation was waiting for? Imran Khan and PTI have always preferred their personal interests on national interests. The tension between personal interests and national interests is an age-old dilemma that individuals, communities, and nations grapple with. While it is natural for people to pursue their own goals and aspirations, it is crucial to recognize that a harmonious and prosperous society often requires a delicate balance between personal interests and the collective well-being of the nation. Preferring personal interests over national interests can weaken the bonds that hold a society together. When individuals prioritize their own needs and desires at the expense of the nation, it can lead to divisions, conflicts, and a breakdown of national unity. A fragmented society is less resilient and less capable of addressing common challenges. National security is a paramount concern for any country. Putting personal interests first may involve actions that compromise a nation’s security, such as leaking sensitive information, engaging in espionage, or supporting hostile foreign entities. Such actions can have dire consequences for the safety and stability of a nation. When public officials or leaders prioritize personal interests, it erodes public trust in the government and institutions. Corruption, favoritism, and nepotism can undermine the credibility of the state and lead to disillusionment among citizens. A loss of faith in government can have a cascading effect on a nation’s governance and stability. Economic prosperity often depends on the collective effort of citizens and businesses working together for the benefit of the country. Prioritizing personal interests over national interests can lead to unethical business practices, tax evasion, and a lack of investment in infrastructure and social services. This hinders economic development and can result in widespread poverty and inequality. When personal interests consistently take precedence over national interests, it fosters a culture of selfishness and individualism. This can lead to a society where people are less inclined to help one another, contribute to the common good, or engage in acts of altruism. A society that values only personal gain can become socially fragmented and disconnected. Ethically, prioritizing personal interests over national interests raises profound questions about one’s responsibility to the greater community. It challenges the principles of fairness, justice, and solidarity that underpin a just society. Ethical decision-making often requires individuals to balance their own interests with the interests of others, including their nation. While it is essential to recognize and respect individual aspirations and personal interests, it is equally vital to acknowledge the broader context of national interests. A harmonious and prosperous society requires individuals to strike a balance between their own goals and the well-being of their country. Preferring personal interests over national interests can have far-reaching consequences, undermining national unity, security, and trust in institutions, as well as hindering economic development and fostering a culture of selfishness. Ultimately, individuals must weigh their actions and decisions carefully, recognizing that their choices can have a significant impact on the nation and society as a whole. Balancing personal interests with the greater good is a hallmark of responsible citizenship and ethical decision-making. Unfortunately, Imran Khan has always preferred his ego and personal interests on State weither he was in Government or opposition which shows the real value of Pakistan for him. Fortunately, Pakistan is now on the right track. We have such a Chief Justice who is famous for his principles and honesty. He is committed to provide law to all equally. Live telecast of Supreme Court’s recent proceeding put a pleasant impression on people. We have such an Army chief who is taking keen interest in core issues of Pakistan. Civil Military collaboration is putting in its best combined efforts to cope with current and future challenges. Remarkable contribution of Pak Army in SIFC and Green Initiative is appreciable. Dollar rates are reducing day by day and inflation is likely to be controlled soon. Huge foreign investment is expected in near future. Strict action is going on against the elements involved in smuggling and illegal storage. In coming days a strict and across the board accountability is also expected. So the things are moving in right direction. But these are not good signs for PTI and their Propaganda machines. Whenever the things start moving in good direction these machines start using their nefarious energies against the State and its Institutions. Readers, the need is to establish clear legal frameworks that distinguish between protected speech and propaganda that poses a genuine threat to national security. Laws should be transparent, fair, and in accordance with international human rights standards. Initiatives should be taken to promote fact-checking and media literacy initiatives to equip citizens with the tools to discern credible information from propaganda and educating the public on critical thinking and responsible consumption of information can help mitigate the impact of anti-state propaganda. Given the borderless nature of online propaganda, international cooperation is essential. Government should collaborate to monitor and counteract cross-border propaganda campaigns that threaten our security. Whole nation supports the strict action taken against the elements that are aimed to destabilize and defame the country.
