Islamabad,(Parliament Times): All-Party Hurriyat Conference organized a seminar to pay tribute to Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Movement leader Syed Ali Geelani on his second death anniversary.

Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan, Former Prime Minister and President of Azad Kashmir, Sardar Atiq Ahmad Khan, Former Prime Minister of AJK and President of AJKMC, Khawaja Farooq Ahmed, Leader of Opposition in Azad Kashmir Assembly, Hasan Ibrahim, President of JKPP, Abdul Rasheed Taurabi, Former Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Mahmood Sagar Convenor Hurriyat Conference, Sheikh Mateen, Imtiaz Wani, Farooq Rahmani, Mahmood Rahmani, Altaf Wani, Saleem Haroon, Rafiq Ahmad Dar, Altaf Butt, Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, Hassan, Engineer Mahmood, Dr. Mushtaq, Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, Syed Azdar Kazmi, Raja Najabat Hussain, Afzal Butt, President PFUJ Anwar Raza, President NPC, Abid Abbasi, President RIUJ, Advocate Nasir Qadri, Executive Director Legal Forum Kashmir, participated.
According to the details, organized by the All-Party Hurriyat Conference yesterday to pay homage to the leader of Azadi Jammu and Kashmir Syed Ali Geelani on the second death anniversary, the seminar was organized in a local hotel in Islamabad. Speaking at the seminar, Chaudhry Latif Akbar, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, said that he got an opportunity to stay at Syed Ali Geelani’s house.
I say to the international world that they should also be sad that all the leaders of the movement have been put in jail. There has been no greed and weakness in Kashmiri people, children, girls, mothers, and sisters are being sacrificed. Fencing the border during Pervez Musharraf’s tenure has been the weakest strategy of the time, it does not recognize the state here or there, he said.
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan for Human Rights Mashal Hussain Malik, said that Syed Ali Geelani dedicated his whole life to the freedom movement.
Hurriyat Conference convener Mehmood Sagar said that the slogan given by Syed Ali Geelani that we are Pakistanis and Pakistan is ours. Former Prime Minister Sardar Atiq Ahmad Khan has said that the best way to pay tribute to Syed Ali Geelani is to keep his mission of the freedom movement alive. Kashmiri people must keep the movement alive.
Former President Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan said,” To pay homage to Syed Ali Geelani, Supporting this resolution, I say that keeping the mission of Syed Ali Geelani in front, we will get freedom soon,”.
Syed Yousaf Naseem said that freedom can not be achieved until we prove Kashmiris at the international level, Syed Ali Geelani’s perseverance is an example for all.
Rafiq Dar said that everyone understands Syed Ali Geelani was a man of his faith. Abdul Rasheed Turabi said that Syed Ali Geelani gave the lesson of keeping hope and courage and keeping the lamp lit in every difficulty.
Hassan Ibrahim said that we Kashmiris did not let any difficulty stand in the way of the movement. Khawaja Farooq said that we could not fulfill the responsibilities we had to fulfill for the freedom movement but never gave up hopelessness while Dr. Mushtaq has said that no one else can set the example of youth and seniority that Syed Ali Geelani set for the freedom movement in the region.
Raja Najabat said that tributes are being paid to Syed Ali Geelani all over the world including in Britain, and we will continue his mission.
