QUETTA, (Parliament Times) : Senator Samina Mumtaz Zehri has congratulated the governments and people of both
countries on the completion of 10 years of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). She said that the
CPEC project is a great example of Pakistan-China friendship. She welcomed the visit of China's Deputy
Prime Minister to Pakistan and said that his visit will further strengthen Pak-China friendship. In her
congratulatory message, she said that Pakistan is proud of its eternal and strong friendship with China.
Pakistan-China friendship is eternal and unique and keeps getting stronger with time. The CPEC project
is a living example of our mutual commitment towards a long-lasting relationship between the two
countries. She said that the journey of Pakistan-China friendship spans decades and its scope have
expanded to all spheres of life. Senator Samina Mumtaz Zehri said that China and Pakistan are the
names of two brothers. 72 years ago, the seed of friendship planted by the two countries has become a
vigorous and fruitful shade tree after the last seven decades.
She further said that be it war or peace or any natural calamity, every difficult time and important
occasion, China has fully supported Pakistan and Pakistan has also shown similar attitude. Senator
Samina Mumtaz Zahri said that China's investment in Pakistan has played an important role in economic
development and in the last ten years CPEC has Due to which billions of dollars have been invested in
Pakistan, CPEC project is playing a key role in the development of Pakistan along with the elimination of
unemployment in Pakistan. At present, thousands of Chinese residents in Pakistan are rendering their
services in various fields and exposing Pakistanis to administrative and technical skills.
She said that the Chinese citizens serving in Pakistan were targeted by the enemies in various terrorist
acts to create differences between the two countries, but the governments and people of the two
friendly countries did not allow the slightest difference in their friendship and the enemy. She faced
failure in his nefarious purposes. Chinese citizens in Pakistan have nurtured this friendship by sacrificing
their precious lives and Pakistani people will always remember the eternal sacrifices of their Chinese
brothers. Senator Samina Mumtaz Zehri said that the CPEC project is a wonderful example of Pakistan-
China friendship and the completion of ten years of the CPEC project and the visit of the Chinese Deputy
Prime Minister to Pakistan is a very commendable thing for us, which is less to be proud of.
Senator Samina Mumtaz Zehri said that CPEC will prove to be a prophet of positive changes in the region
and it will not be out of place to say that Pakistan-China friendship is deeper than the sea, sweeter than
honey and higher than the Himalayas, which every Pakistani is proud of. She said that the people of
Pakistan value China's blunt stance on the Kashmir issue. Senator Samina Mumtaz Zahri said that
Pakistan-China friendship cannot be digested by the enemies of both countries and cowardly enemies
often try to create a rift in this friendship but our security agencies have always foiled the tricks of these
cunning and cowardly enemies. She said that the Pakistan-China friendship will remain forever and it will
get stronger with the passage of time.
