MIRPUR (AJK):( Parliament Times) : Like rest of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, all is set in Kashmiri expatriates’ district of Mirpur to commemorate the sacred day of Youm-e-Ashur, the 10th of Muharram-ul-haram simultaneously with the nation-wide scheduled event to be commemorated on July 29 with full respect and honour.
Requisite security arrangements have been given final touches to ensure maintaining traditional peace and order during the course of the main Zuljinnah and Tazia procession in Mirpur city, to be taken out from central Imambargah Sa’adat colony on 10th of Muharram ul Haraam – Saturday – July 29, Mirpur Deputy Commissioner Ch. Amjad Iqbal told our Special AJK Correspondent Altaf Hamid Rao here on Friday.
Extra ordinary security has been intensified through the deployment of contingents of local police headed by duty magistrates which will remain alert till the time of reaching of the Zul’jinnah processions at their respective set destinations – the main Imambargahs in Mirpur city, district and tehsil headquarter, the DC said when contacted to get adequate arrangements being given final Shape to observe the sanctified day in the district with due solemnity and reverence.
The DC said that adequate exceptional security arrangements made by the district administration including police include the due deployment of police and other officials of the law enforcement agencies to maintain complete peace and order on this sanctified day.
Meanwhile, organizers of the special religious programs marking the historic day of Youm-e-Ashur in the Islamic history, eminent religious scholars including ulema and zakir in their sermons, while addressing Azadar and other participants of the Youme Ashur procession, will highlight the supreme sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and his associates at Karbala for the supremacy of truth of justice and the teachings of Islam and will urge all sects of the faithful to renew their pledge to follow the foot steps of the martyrs of Karbala.
Since Majlis-i-Sham-i-Ghariban is yet another key event of the day where Nohas and Marsias will be recited at central Imambargah Sadaat colony in the city to pay glorious tributes to the martyrs of Karbala. Ends
