Dr. Pir Zaheer Abbas Qadri Al-Rifai
Karbala, This is not just the name of a piece of land, but the name of love, sacrifice, commitment, and self-absorption in the Lord’s love and affection and it will remain till the morning of doomsday.
Imam Al-Muqam gave Karbala the honor and respect that it will continue to give the oppressed people the message of raising their chests in front of the oppressor until the last day.
The journey of love was Marbi which started on the 10th of Zul-Hajj and ended on the 10th of Muharram. Today, the whole world is offering roses of tribute and respect to the greatness, majesty, and steadfastness of the grandson of the Prophet.
Hazrat Imam Hussain sacrificed his wealth, family, children and even his life for the promotion of Islam and also for the protection of the Islam religion, but the light of the lamp of Islam did not diminish. After kindness, sacrifice and the Muslim Ummah will undoubtedly remain indebted to Imam Hussain until the Day of Resurrection.
Hazrat Gharib Nawaz Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti rightly said that the Grandson of the Prophet gave refuge to Islam. If they had not stopped the storms of cruelty, coercion, and tyranny by raising their chests in Karbala, then the support of the oppressor would have been justified and certified until the Day of Judgment. The genealogy goes back to Huzoor Karim in the third back. The Messenger of God (PBUH) had immense love for his daughter’s children. He said, “O Allah! The way I love them both (Hasnain), keep them in love, and whoever loves them, keep them in love.” “Imam Hussain’s childhood games were usually military. One day he went to the mosque when the Holy Prophet asked did you go to prostration, little Hussain? Riding in the back? He did not raise his head until he got down from Pusht Mubarak. Once he took a boy in his lap and kissed his forehead. The companion asked, “O Messenger of Allah?”! Whose does this belong to? He said this child used to play with my Hussain. That is why he is dear to me. He had a great love for the Holy Qur’an and had memorized the Qur’an in his childhood. It was in the embrace of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) that your power of understanding got developed. He said, “Recite the prayer in the same way as the Holy Prophet (PBUH) used to pray.”
Whenever there was any difficulty, he would immediately perform the Nafal prayer. Once a person got angry and used insulting words about Hazrat Ali in front of him. He said, “If you are hungry or thirsty or if you have any need. Tell me to complete it so that your anger will go away. That person was very ashamed to see your humility and patience and apologized for his insolence.
He was asked, “Can the trouble be removed by praying?” He said, “Have you not read in the Qur’an, “O you who believe! Seek help with patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah is with those who persevere.” He is the best of creators. He used to exhort others to adopt good manners. A gun war treated him badly. You said he was illiterate and I was the Messenger of Allah.
Hazrat Imam Hussain belonged to a family that was second to none in high character. He was brought up in the embrace of his daughter Sayyeda Fatima and Hazrat Ali, therefore, he was not considered in the Islamic society. It was not in his power to remain silent after seeing the Islamic changes. Imam al-Shahdai Hazrat Imam Hussain was martyred on Friday 10th Muharram 61 AH in the afternoon time at the age of 57 years. It says, “God’s guidance is that the martyr is alive and not dead.”
