Quetta, (Parliament Times): Parliamentary Secretary for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Science and Information Technology Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi has said that with the support of the World Health Organization, a project has been started for the construction and repair of one hundred government hospitals in Balochistan while 26 new labor rooms will be established to provide quality and better maternity facilities, a dental unit has been established in Usta Muhammad, besides this, new warehouses will also be constructed in DHO offices to keep medicines in safe places in Naseerabad and Jafarabad and appreciate the cooperation of the World Health Organization on the provision of medical services.

She expressed these thoughts here on Monday while talking to the head of WHO Balochistan, Dr. Isfandiar Sherani, who met him and informed him about the ongoing and proposed projects to improve health facilities in Balochistan, including Naseerabad Division, with the support of the World Health Organization.

Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi said “The World Health Organization has always cooperated for the provision of quality health facilities in Balochistan. The construction of a total of one hundred dilapidated and repairable buildings, including the fifty public hospitals affected by the floods in Naseerabad Division, and the construction of twenty-two labor rooms in Naseerabad Division and two labor rooms in Qila Saifullah is commendable progress,”.

Completion of these projects will improve medical facilities services in government hospitals and provide quality treatment facilities to poor people at their doorsteps.

She further expressed her gratitude to Dr. Palitha Mahipala, the head of the World Health Organization in Pakistan, for the attention and effective mechanism of the implementation of the cooperation in the health sector and expressed the hope that the cooperation and technical support of WHO will continue for the improvement of emergency and general medical facilities in the remote areas of Balochistan and tertiary care hospitals of Quetta.
