Quetta, (Parliament Times) : The important initiatives of the public nature of the provincial government under the leadership of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Abdul Qudous Bizenjo is long, and have been taken keeping in view the perspective of public interest.
This positive role is being appreciated at the public level and the steps taken by him are getting full appreciation. It is important to mention, the issuance of grant-in-aid of 2.5 billion rupees to the universities of the province, the organization of clean and transparent municipal elections, timely relief and rehabilitation of flood and earthquake victims, digital census in a peaceful environment, after 19 years of national Organizing games, organizing PSL exhibition match for the first time in the province, establishing residential colony for journalists and hawkers welfare fund, residential colony for fishermen, status of fisherman as equal to laborer, Gwadar as a special district.
Practical measures to pay the dues of the province due to PPL, payment of 2.5 billion rupees by Sendak Metal Limited to the province, establishment of the endowment fund for skill development of youth, and grants to bar councils and bar associations.
Establishment of border markets for the efficient flow of border trade, the permanence of intern teachers in different districts of the province, nomination of vice-chancellors of universities on the recommendations of the search committee managed by the Department of Higher Education, teachers in their respective districts. Deployment, activation of inactive schools, opening of border market on Pak-Iran border, completion of 100 MW electricity supply project from Iran to Gwadar, provision of one month ration to one lakh families of the province in the month of Ramadan, in the province.
Measures to remove the shortage of wheat and supply wheat in abundance to the people, establishment of Traffic Engineering Bureau, permanence of 37 contract employees of Jeddah, restoration of quota for survivors (deceased quota), digitization of land revenue records, provision of facilities to the people in the province.
Special measures have been taken in the fields of education and health across the province, including the establishment of e-service centers for delivery, the establishment and functioning of the Shahid Afridi Cricket Academy in Quetta, and the establishment of the Anti-Rightist Women’s Wing in the Balochistan Police Department. To raise the standard of living of the people of Balochistan and to take steps towards the elimination of the backwardness of the province, the Chief Minister has always promoted the impression that the elected provincial government has come into existence due to the power of the people and they are accountable to the public for every action.
