Quetta, (Parliament Times) : Under the leadership of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Abdul Quddos Bizenjo, the long-delayed green bus service project has been started in Quetta under PPP mode. The green bus service was ready and officially inaugurated on Monday, July 17.
Citizens Thanked the efforts of all concerned institutions, standard public transport has arrived in Quetta. The logistics arrangements have been finalized. It is being welcomed as a great gift for the citizens, along with this, the Balochistan government has initiated projects in collaboration with the private sector in various sectors, including promising updates on various projects in the livestock sector. Four potential PPP mode projects have been identified in Pishin, Daki, Sibi, and Mirani Dam Command Areas.
Progress is underway including exciting initiatives towards the development of the Vehicle Inspection Certification System (VICS) project in Balochistan. This project will also be run on PPP mode to ensure thorough inspection and certification of commercial vehicles. Modern VICS centers for vehicles have been set up and feasibility studies have been carried out to enhance road safety, control air pollution, reduce accidents, and help in traffic management. Exciting developments are underway and the concession agreement will be finalized with a signing ceremony at the state-of-the-art hub TVET CoE facility on 1 August 2023.
