QUETTA, (Parliament Times) : The desecration of Holy Quran in Sweden with government support is highly condemnable
and intolerable action. These views were expressed by Central Vice President of Balochistan Awami
Party BAP Senator Samina Mumtaz Zehri in her condemning statement. She said that the growing hatred
against Muslims and anti-Islam in Europe is increasing day by day. She has expressed deep anger over
the incident of burning the Holy Quran by the cursed Silwan Momika in Sweden and said that no matter
how much this heartbreaking incident is condemned, we condemn this incident in the strongest terms
and demand from the Swedish government that the person involved in the incident and the elements
behind him should be severely punished.
She said that this incident has hurt the sentiments of Muslims all over the World and it is very
disgusting, condemnable. It is an intolerable act which should be condemned by every intelligent
person. Such incidents are an attempt to inflame the sentiments of Muslims. Such incidents cannot be
ignored. Such an incident under the permission and patronage of the Swedish government is a moment
of concern for the whole world. Senator Samina Mumtaz Zahri further said that countries around the
world, including the Islamic world, should adopt effective strategies to prevent such incidents and
protested against the Swedish government. All kinds of relations should be terminated until an official
apology is sought from the Swedish government and an assurance is given to take effective measures to
prevent such incidents in future. She said that we will record our protest on every forum on this
incident, while the Organization of Islamic Countries along with all Muslim countries should also record
their protest on every forum.
Senator Samina Mumtaz Zehri said that all Muslims demand that Maaloon Silwan Momika be arrested
for hurting the feelings of Muslims and violating the Holy Quran. The crime of desecration should be
strictly punished and steps should be taken at the government level to prevent such incidents in the
future.
Senator Samina Mumtaz Zahri said that Islam is a peaceful religion and there is no room for extremism
or terrorism in Islam. The religion of Islam gives a message of peace to the whole world and Allah
Almighty sent Prophet Muhammad Mustafa (PBUH) to the world by making him a mercy to the world,
whose teachings give a message of peace not only to Muslims but to the whole world and teaches peace
and love. She also said that after 9/11, incidents of violence against Muslims increased and hateful
incidents against Muslims took place in the western world. Religious freedom is the basic right of every
person and there is no expression of hatred against any religion in Islam and this practice has been
declared as favorite and strictly prohibited. She further said that in various countries, especially our
eternal enemy India, Islamophobia is used to achieve political goals and express hateful feelings against
Muslims.
Senator Samina Mumtaz Zahri said that the whole world, especially in the western world actions are
needed for awareness and remedy against Islamophobia because it increases violence and hatred
against Muslims.She said that hatred against Islam and Muslims must be stopped, while the promotion
of religious tolerance is the need of the hour to end Islamophobia and the United Nations. It is the duty
of United Nations Organization and other organizations to play their effective role in changing the trend
of violence and hate against Islam worldwide. She said that hatred against Islam and Muslims must be
