DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The Islamabad Police on Saturday took Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former federal minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur from Central Jail DI Khan and left for the federal capital after the court orders.
Earlier, Judicial magistrate-I , in Dera Ismail Khan ordered the PTI leader to handover the PTI leader to Islamabad police.
The PTI leader will be produced in a court of Islamabad as soon as he reaches Islamabad.
Gandapur was arrested from outside the Peshawar High Court’s D.I.Khan bench on Thursday and was sent to the Central Jail Dera on six day judicial remand.
The Islamabad and Punjab Police from Bhakkar reached Dera Ismail Khan in the morning and requested the Judicial Magistrate-I for the hanging over of the PTI leader.
It is worth mentioning that former National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak and PTI Senator Azam Swati has also reached Dera Ismail Khan while expressing solidarity with Ali Amin Gandapur on the recent development,
They met with brothers of Ali Amin including former provincial minister Faisal Amin Gandapur and City Mayor Umar Amin Gandapur and assured them of full legal support on behalf of the party leadership.
Talking to media, the former National Assembly speaker said that fake cases were being made against PTI while his party was only demanding free and fair elections.
Meanwhile, the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC), Dera Ismail Khan also fixed date of April 11, 2023 to indict Ali Amin Gandapur in Suicide Attack case in which former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Law Minister Sardar Israr Ullah Khan Gandapur was martyred.
It may be mentioned that on the day of Eid-Ul-Azha in 2013 Sardar Israr Ullah Khan Gandapur was martyred in a suicide attack which targeted Gandapur Cottage in Kulachi.
In the said case, the brother of Ali Amin Gandapur and City Mayor Umar Amin Khan Gandapur is on bail.
The case of suicide attack on Sardar Israr Ullah Khan Gandapur was registered in Kulachi Police Station.
