Quetta, (Parliament Times) : A meeting of the governing body of BCDA was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Balochistan and Chairman Balochistan Coastal Development Authority Mir Abdul Quddos Bizenjo.The meeting of the governing body of DA was held. Chief Minister chaired the meeting through a video link. The meeting was attended by members of the governing body of BCDA and other relevant officials. The meeting was attended by Secretary Fisheries Kazim Hussain Jatoi and DGBC. A briefing was given on the agenda points by the DA. In the meeting, it was decided that 28 employees who have recruited on a contract basis from 2012 to 2017 would be permanent. It was unanimously decided in the meeting that action will be taken against the officers and officials who are recruiting against the rules.
It was decided in the meeting that resorts will be constructed in PPP mode at seven locations along the coast and their management and operation will also be done under PPP mode by giving utility allowance to BCDA employees. Addressing the meeting directed to send the summary, the Chief Minister said ” BCDA is a good institution regarding coastal development, our job is to take decisions and we want to take every decision for the construction and development of the province”. Action will be taken against those responsible for illegal recruitment. We do not want to take away the employment of anyone, we have decided yesterday to make the employees who were recruited on a contract basis permanent because our government believes in providing employment, he said. The 770 km long coastline of Balochistan is of key importance in the promotion of fishing and tourism and further improvements should be made in BCDA for which all the members of the governing body should give their input for the improvement of the authority, he said.
In the meeting, the progress on the provision of petrol pumps and other necessary facilities at 11 places by the Ministry of Petroleum for the convenience of the people on the coastal belt was also reviewed BCDA was instructed to issue tenders for development projects related to providing basic facilities to passengers in 9 places on the coastal belt as soon as possible.
