WANA, (Parliament Times): Two people died and 4 people were injured when the roof of a house collapsed due to continuous snowfall and 20 hours of rain since last evening in Zamchina area of ??Birmal Tehsil of Lower South Waziristan tribal district. Similarly, another incident took place in Tehsil Building Wana, where two children were slightly injured due to the collapse of the roof of a room, their treatment is ongoing. According to the local people, the injured include Sifat, Ejaz, Hasina and Safarina, However, Syed Mara Bibi, wife of Mamir Jan, Numan, father of Mamir Jan have died, the local people helped the injured people to the district headquarter hospital in wana for medical assistance. On the other hand, Assistant Commissioner Wana Yasir Salman Kundi gave his stance and said that the government will soon give compensation checks to the dead and injured persons. On the other side, due to landslides, wana Gomal Zam Road has been closed for all kinds of traffic. DC Lower South Waziristan Mohammad Nasir Khan has issued an order to clear the road to Xen Highway on which the work will start soon. The local people say that this incident took place due to the collapse of the room roof in the rough house, the residents of the area expressed regret over the incident and demanded the federal and provincial government to provide financial assistance to the affected family on an emergency basis and arrangements should be made on emergency basis for free treatment of injured persons.
