It is no new that that Indus Cottage Library Network Pakistan has played pivotal role in developing the reading and writings skills across the Pakistan in school going students of Government Schools by providing the Library free of cost to Public schools in country.
Recently,Agha Noor Muhammad Pathan, Chief executive officer (CEO ),Indus Cottage Libraries Network (ICLN) Islamabad, arranged the “certificate of appreciation giving ceremonyā€¯ held in the central library of FUUAST Islamabad Campus on March 21, 2023. It was presided over by the Incharge campus DrIhtishamulHaqand the Chief guest was famous scout leader tourist and author of 21 books Mr. Maqsood Ahmed Chaghatai, the winner of the presidential award, and others guests including Dr. AounSajidNaqvi, Dr. Ghazala, Dr. UzmaSiraj, Dr. Atiya Zone, Dr. Imran Shahzad, Additional Registrar, Madam NaseemIrshad among the HOD’s and a large number of position holder students participated.
In this occasion, the students who came first, second and third in library activities were awarded certificates of appreciation. Congratulating the Indus Cottage Library Network and its entire team, Dr. EhtishamulHaq said that the interest of reading books in the Federal Urdu University is surprisingly increased much higher due to the efforts of these library activities conducted by ICLN Pakistan. Mr. MaqsoodChughtai said that Pakistan is equally beautiful as Switzerland and said that there are high mountains, beautiful valleys, wide lakes and flat plains, rolling fields, humming rivers, and roaring seas along with green deserts for the delightful attractions of the tourists.
Earlier, Aghanoor Mohammad, CEO ICLN Pakistan, said in his welcome speech that we are spreading the habit of reading books through library activities throughout Pakistan. ICLN has produced more than 5000 years of students who have mastered the art of writing, talking on the topics and research orientation.
Mr Ali Rahmat regional coordinator of ICLN Islamabad performed well as stage secretary, At the end paying the vote of thanks Dr.AunSajidNaqvi from urdu department said that it is important to read the book as well as understand it too. The program was ended followed by lunch, arranged by ICLN Pakistan.
