Quetta, (Parliament Times) : Vote is a national trust and duty and its correct use is the right and responsibility
of every Pakistani. We can make a better decision for our future only with the correct use
of vote. Senator Samina Mumtaz Zahri expressed these views in one of her statements.
She said that the correct use of vote is the duty of every Pakistani and it is a right to use
the right to vote without any pressure or coercion. Through voting, we are the future. She
said that no society can deny the importance of vote; no state can become a state without
its people. It is through voting in elections that we decide our good and bad. Good and
sincere leadership can be brought by the correct use of vote, while on the other hand,
wrong people can also come to the assemblies due to misuse, so for the development and
prosperity of the country, men and women above 18 years of age must register their vote.
Make and elect sincere leadership for the nation and for this the correct use of vote is
very important and it is very important to highlight the importance of vote registration
and exercise of right to vote in the society.
Senator Samina Mumtaz Zahri said that Pakistani women are more than half of the
population and the importance of their vote is undeniable and women are a problem for
the country. Women can play an important role in the selection of leadership and
representatives. Democracy cannot be strengthened until women are empowered. She
further said that the number of women in terms of population in the country is more than
half of the population but the registration of women voters is less than 43 percent.
The tragedy is that even registered women do not use their right to vote. Women should
register their vote to exercise their right to vote and make better decisions for themselves
so that they can use their right to vote for the development of the country. She also said
that the vote is very important in developed countries, it is not just a slip, but it is cast
considering the destiny of the country and the nation, but unfortunately, the turnout of the
vote in our country is very low. Few people hesitate to participate in the electoral process.
If we know the power of vote and use it properly and put the rightful and competent
person in power, then our problems can be solved better.
Senator Samina Mumtaz Zehri further said that every single vote of every person,
including women, is very important in the upcoming election. There is a dire need for
correct use of vote in Balochistan because the people here are becoming conscious and
they are getting to know their good and bad. The people of Balochistan will no longer be
seduced by the so-called representatives and leaders who raise hollow slogans. Peope will
choose the best and sincere representatives for them. For this purpose, the correct use of
vote is the best way through which the people can choose the right leadership and
representatives for themselves. She hoped that in the upcoming election, the people will
exercise their right to vote and reject those so-called representatives and leaders who
have fooled the people of Balochistan for decades and who have always Paying attention
to their own interests and they focused only on their personal development. In the
upcoming elections, people will choose sincere representatives from Balochistan who
will play an important role in the long-term and sustainable development of Balochistan
and give Balochistan a new development and they will lead to destinations.
