MIRPUR (AJK), (Parliament Times) : Under the spirit to ensure conducive environment through delivery of state of the art boarding and lodging facilities during professional training to the police force in Azad Jammu Kashmir, the under-construction grand mess at the fully-furnished police training school will be inaugurated next month, it was officially said.
Disclosing this, Senior Superintendent of Police, Central Police Office Muzaffarabad Kamran Ali told our Special AJK Correspondent Altaf Hamid Rao on Wednesday that this was told in a high level meeting held in the State metropolis on Wednesday to review of the pace of the ongoing construction work of various development projects including the PTS [Police Training School] mess and Mock crime scene unit and office of the resource person in the AJK capital city.
The meeting discussed the modalities devised to complete the police welfare and development projects within stipulated timeframe.
Elaborating, the SSP Kamran Ali said that the grand mess will be a valuable contribution accommodating around 250 Jawans at a time.
“Mock crime scene unit coupled with the office of the Resource Person will complement the already inaugurated school of investigation”, he added.
He further stated that the PTS mess for 250 Jawans including 50 female trainees and the mock crime scene unit along with office for resource persons was being constructed adjacent to the newly inaugurated Police School of Investigation at police lines in Muzaffarabad.
“Since the construction work is in swing, the project will be completed in next 25 to 30 days maximum”, he said and there is a little space available at the moment for mess facilities for trainees 511 in number and boarding police jawans at the moment
These new projects are vision of the AJK IGP Dr. Amir Ahmed Sheikh, the projects will serve for decades to come for the welfare of the constabulary.
The new mess will accommodate around 250 jawans at a time as it also comprises huge kitchen store room, separate mess facility for female officers around 50 rooms adjacent to the Police school of investigation which are a real value addition to impart professional skills to the police officers with better investigation skill especially at mock crime scene unit and technical room along with office for visiting faculty and resource persons, he added.
