Quetta, (Parliament Times): Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Qudous Bizenjo has approved the recruitment of doctors on ad-hoc basis for the vacant posts in various categories of doctors while taking an important step to provide health facilities in remote areas of the province. The chief minister gave this approval to the summary sent by the health department. After the approval of the Chief Minister, 897 doctors will be recruited on ad-hoc basis. These posts include Medical Officer, Lady Medical Officer, Dental Surgeon, Specialist, Assistant Professor, and Senior Registrar will be deployed in backward areas. This initiative aims to meet the shortage of doctors immediately and provide treatment facilities to the people at their doorsteps. There was a clear instruction from the Chief Minister that the recruited doctors will not be appointed in any big hospital including Quetta. A committee has been formed under the supervision of the Secretary of Health for the recruitment of vacancies. The center professor doctors of the health department have been included in the committee. The IT department will set up a monitoring mechanism to ensure the attendance and service delivery of the recruited doctors.
